Rejuvenation of American Cities on the Water: A conference hosted by the
American Institute of Architects (AIA) Committee on Design

The conference will explore the current landscapes of Miami and future
design opportunities around Miami and its waterways. Oppenheim will participate
in two events during the conference in addition to serving as a juror
on the AIA Ideas Competition:
Guided tours of 10 Museum Park, Oppenheims newly completed 50-story
spa lifestyle building in downtown Miami.

Panel Discussion on the Future of Miami Architecture and Policy
Oppenheim will join Roberto Espejo (Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects), Jean
FranÁois Lejeune (University of Miami), Daniella Levine (Human
Services Coalition of Dade County), Terry Riley (Miami Art Museum), Laurinda
Spear (Arquitectonica) and Suria Yaffar (Zyscovich) in a discussion moderated
by Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk (Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company).

During the conference Oppenheim will also participate in a joint presentation
of The Florida Fives recent work moderated by James Trulove on Saturday
April 14, 2007 from 2 4 PM. The presentation is one of a seven-part
lecture series about architecture that will take place at the Blake Library
in Stuart, FL during National Architecture Week, the celebration of the
150th Anniversary of the AIA.

About The Florida Five
The Florida Five is a group of five Florida-based architectsAlbert
Alphonso, Rene Gonzalez, Scott Hughes, Chad Oppenheim and Guy Petersonthat
has teamed up in the spirit of The New York Five and the groups
common allegiance to a pure form of architectural modernism that harkened
back to the work of Le Corbusier. The goal of The Florida Five is to bring
the concept of modern design to the attention of Florida residents, particularly
in the realm of residential design. These five architects participate
in joint presentations to show examples of their recent work that offers
alternatives to the architectural styles imposed upon Florida residents
by developers. Each member of The Florida Five designs with a modernists
vocabulary and has been awarded AIA Awards of Excellence.
