The program includes, in addition to the Firemen station itself, a space of consultation and training center open to the public, both activities must be executed separately and never the presence of the visitor should interfere in the work of the firemen.
The design chosen for the station appears towards the outside like a simple high box that it almost disappears after a facade that plays with the context in a game of reflections, floating on the patio of maneuvers and the pump cars parking area; this space extends towards the street or, in inverse reading, incorporates the urban space.
Within the chromed box, both uses are alternated and complemented, organized by planes with holes in different sizes and shapes that allows natural lighting and communicates the different levels. In the case of the main access, the double stair proposed, separated the flow of the employers and the visitors and goes from the level of visitor access to a heliport in the roof. This vertical circulation was complemented by the classic tubes where the firemen descend faster. Thus, making them coexist thanks to the views crossed in the main patio, but without mixing them, the proposed solution is able to resolve both uses - the station requirements and the public areas -.

ESTACIÓN DE BOMBEROS “AVE FÉNIX”
El concurso para la estación de bomberos “ave fénix” demandaba en su programa dos actividades completamente distintas, la estación propiamente dicha y un espacio de consulta y capacitación para el público en general, estas no podían cruzarse en ningún momento.
El proyecto elegido para la estación se presenta hacia el exterior como una caja recubierta de aluminio y elevada sobre el nivel de la calle, casi desapareciendo por los reflejos que a manera de espejo produce el material. Esta caja que flota, resguarda en su base el patio de maniobras y estacionamiento de los coches bomba, mismo que se extiende hacia la calle incorporando el espacio urbano al simular una continuación de la calle.
Dentro de la caja cromada se organizan distintas actividades alternado o complementado los usos por medio de planos, los cuales son perforados con huecos de varias dimensiones que sirven tanto para iluminar, como para comunicar los niveles; como el caso del acceso principal, que mediante una doble escalera separa el flujo del personal y los visitantes, llevando desde el nivel de acceso peatonal hasta un helipuerto en la azotea, o mediante los clásicos tubos por donde descienden los bomberos ante alguna urgencia.
La propuesta emplea las vistas cruzadas entre los dos tipos de usuarios a través de los patios pero sin mezclarlos, consiguiendo entretejer las dos actividades —la estación y la llamada “bomberoteca”—.
