GL31 Residential Building

GL31 Residential Building - 9 May 2013
GL31 turned to be even more complex because of the irregular shape of the plot, the entrance is in one street and the exit in a different one with two pedestrian entrances, and to all this we have to add the amount of interior spaces left because there is no access to the street, which makes it a architectural commercial and functional challenge. Finally these interior apartments ended up being the best ones because they are far away from the noise of the street, with an enriching social environment.

Design: José Alfonso Quiñones Ríos

House by the River - 25 Apr 2013
The Magdalena River descends from the forest of Los Dinamos, and is the last living river in Mexico City. This location and the proximity to the river give very specific characteristics to the land, despite the fact that it has been overtaken by the city, it still preserves an immediate country environment.

La Peninsula Marina Vallarta - 9 Apr 2013
The guidelines upon which this project was developed are based in two concepts: one that allows a maximum exploitation of possibilities without falling on a typical saturated low range residence, and a second one, very important too, to obtain an acceptable investment return estimate.

Tabasco 127 Building - 18 Jul 2012
It is a nine-apartment building, in four stories on one of the best streets of the Roma Norte neighborhood. The project has a variety of typologies: seven duplex apartments with double heights and two simplex apartments, from 880 sq ft to 1,860 sq ft each, with a patio, terrace or roof garden. The units are distributed into two bodies divided by an elongated central patio. Both bodies communicate in all the levels through bridges and stairs. The main façade express the concept of the interior, through an interplay of terraces that responds to each type of apartment.

Mexican Studio Building - 23 Apr 2012
Using trapezoidal shapes and with a careful control of perspective, vanishing points are emphasized, achieving a dynamic and fluid space that awakens imagination while stimulating creativity. This building, limited to only 27sqm of footprint, is nested in a small gap originally occupied by a storage-room (between 3 existing constructions), in the backyard of a middle-class house in Mexico City.

Ciudad Gobierno del Estado de Zacatecas
The Governmental City of the State of Zacatecas in Mexico, is built in a property known as “Cerro del Gato” (Cat’s Hill) in the suburbs of the City of Zacatecas. The buildings respond naturally to a radial composition due to their incorporation to the slope of the hill. Screen walls delimitate and at the same time integrate the buildings in form and open space.
