The decision was made on the high quality of the bid. The proposals for the Grade II*-listed library will increase access to the collection and provide a much greater range of library services. The project is part of the redevelopment of the Manchester Town Hall complex, estimated at £165M, improving services to the public and investing in key civic buildings and spaces. Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Manchester City Council (the “Council) have commenced the Town Hall Complex Redevelopment Programme and are seeking expressions of interest for the Town Hall Extension Project under this OJEU notice from individual organisations for the provision of Architectural and Interior Designer services up to RIBA Stage L. The role will comprise full architectural, interior design and space- planning services, including acting as design team leader for the refurbishment of the Town Hall Extension. This will include feasibility and option designs as part of the overall design scheme.
