Segovia Moka House Madrid - 23 May 2013 Access to basement, can be done either from the main area of the house or from the garage directly. We can see two areas, the swimming pool, sports facilities, relax and movies, area of service work; be resolved by giving direct access from the garage and connecting it to the ground floor with a staircase landing in the dealer’s work area. In the central area and connected to the garage are the storage stands, without direct lighting and ventilation. B&N House, Madrid Design: A-cero Architects  photo from architects B&N House Madrid - 21 May 2013 A-cero presents one of its latest projects of single – family detached house. It is a comprehensive reform of existing home whose owners found the need to reform both externally and internally to update its image. This is a magnificent home originally, but had charged over time both aesthetically and functionally needed a change. The work focuses on two points. Providing housing for renewed external image and create a modern interior full of light. The new campus, a world reference in corporate offices, is designed as an intelligent building where interaction and exchange among the 4,000 people who work in there is fostered. The most pleasant and unique circumstances were set before us: the client was also the developer, the architect, the contractor and the user. Its culture and way of working should be clear from the building itself. This was an opportunity to turn a building into a showcase for its philosophy. It included an architectural competition and the subsequent development of the winning project. It is open for visitors but at the same time keeps with wary spaces for privacy and reflection. It has duality in the forms and the global functioning of the building. The project had to face two preliminary constraints: a surrounding area burdened by the aesthetic and cultural tradition of the Spanish row-house concept and, on the other hand, the plot’s exposure to solar radiation during the hottest months of the year. 67 Dwellings in Colmenar Viejo dosmasuno arquitectos  picture from architects 67 Dwellings in Colmenar Viejo - 29 Apr 2012 Flying across the Madrilenian mountains, we chose a hill to land on. Its slope enabled us to establish a visual relationship with the surroundings, gazing Colmenar Viejo, the mountains and Madrid’s metropolitan area in the horizon. The local topographic and geologic conditions are preserved and used as the main leit-motivs of the intervention. Its rocky, naturally-pitched substratum suggested hovering on top of it instead of altering its original features. Centro de Servicios Sociales de Móstoles dosmasuno arquitectos  photo : Miguel de Guzmán Centro de Servicios Sociales de Móstoles - 25 Apr 2012 The programme of the new local Social Services Center in Móstoles is strongly conditioned by two facts: on the one hand, it hosts many identical spaces - single, unipersonal offices - and it is placed within a new, aseptic urban fabric - currently being developed - which features no constraints but the street network and the plot orientation. On the other hand, the building’s relationship with its close and distant surroundings is based upon environmental respect, achieved - in this case - by means of traditional procedures, instead of throughout advanced technological systems. Surrounded by highways, with views towards the Guadarrama Mountains. The building was developed as a reference point for the city extension and region at large, as a counterpoint against the massive uniformity of the surrounding blocks. The 22 level building acts as a frame for the distant landscape. These galleries are linked to the four communications nuclei and their respective entrance halls, found on each of the corners of the large block. Museum ABC Aranguren & Gallegos Arquitectos  photo : Jesus Granada Madrid Museum The new Drawing and Illustration Centre of ABC appears with the will to become an artistic reference at an international level and also a symbol of the cultural offer in Madrid. Its installation in the building of the old factory in Calle Amaniel, must respond to an intervention that is appropriate for a historical building, without renouncing to express its contemporanean centre nature with a wide cultural and artistic offer linked to the most avant-garde institutions within our context.
