Tideway Wharf – Resolution to Grant

Location: Nine Elms, southwest London

Design: Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners

Sean Ellis, Managing Director of St James Group, said;

“St James are delighted with the decision of London Borough of Wandsworth to grant planning consent at Tideway Wharf. This is the first detailed consent to be granted in the VNEB Opportunity Area, the largest regeneration area in central London. We believe this is an exceptional scheme and sets the new standard for riverside living in London”.

Tideway Wharf will include 752 residential units and over 120,000 sqft of recreational and commercial space to include a gym, spa, bars and restaurants. Over 60% of Tideway Wharf will be designated public open space and will include an enhanced riverside walk and pocket park adjacent to the Thames.

St James will also be contributing over £32m in S106 contributions and we believe the quality and size of the scheme together with the US embassy proposals will be a catalyst for the regeneration of the Opportunity Area.

St James Group is committed to commencing works on site in April 2011 subject to the GLA Stage 2 Report and the signing of the Section 106 agreement.
