21 Jul 2009 St. John's Square Clerkenwell, north east London Design: Norton Ellis Architects Following a successful planning application on a neighbouring building Norton Ellis Architects were appointed by the owners of this unpromising 1950's spec office in Clerkenwell. It was refurbished under a Change of Use to create nine new stunning residential units and two refurbished office suites. The existing six storey premises was occupied on the lower three office floors during the works. In addition a penthouse apartment on the fourth and fifth floors was constructed on the existing roof. New entrances were created to rationalise the layouts and to create new identities for each of the uses. Project value £1.8m.
