Chelsea Town House, south west London
Design: Moxon Architects

photo : Simon Kennedy
Chelsea Town House - 5 Jun 2013
Moxon Architects have completed a grade 2 listed house conversion in Chelsea. The driver for this scheme has been to treat the existing structure as a geometric guide for the setting out of new material and spatial interventions. The space has been radically reconfigured throughout, to provide a fewer number of larger and better rooms, with additions to the top and bottom of the house increasing its volume by over a quarter.
Stitched House
Design: Jonathan Tuckey Design

Stitched House London - 7 May 2013
This house is an example of how you can create something very timeless by using a material like brick which ages well and has reliable thermal properties. The cantilevered brick canopy is very unusual and also creates a sheltered outside space for the London house.
Shoffice - Shed Office
Design: Platform 5 Architects

Shoffice - 15 Jan 2013
'Shoffice' (shed + office) is a garden pavilion containing a small office alongside garden storage space located to the rear of a 1950's terraced house in St John’s Wood. The brief required the shoffice to be conceived of as a sculptural object that flowed into the garden space.
Warren Cottage House Extension, Kingston Upon Thames, south west London
Design: McGarry-Moon Architects Ltd

Kingston Upon Thames Property - 14 Dec 2012
Solid, beautifully articulated house extension in London by a Northern Irish architecture studio. The proposed scheme involves the demolition of the existing bunker and 1930’s single storey rear extension to Warren Cottage and their replacement with a new two storey side/rear extension and basement.
North London Residential Extension
Design: Alison Brook Architects

North London Residential Extension - 18 Oct 2012
Discreet from street level behind an 1860 North London house sits a spectacular new extension designed by Stirling Prize winning Alison Brook Architects. An angular projection of dynamic shapes and planes, the structure is distinguished not only by its creative vision, but also by the use of DuPont™ Corian® to form a striking rain screen façade.

Kings Grove House - 30 Jun 2012
RIBA Awards 2012 Winner
This is a taut, exemplary response to the development of a landlocked site: an intelligent house built by an architect couple for themselves. The site, reached by a narrow lane, is contained by back gardens.

Dalling Road - 30 Jun 2012
RIBA Awards 2012 Winner
This is an extension to a Victorian terraced house, a mere 10 square metres larger than the previous footprint of a dilapidated lean-to, from a brief which required a new family kitchen, dining and play space. The simplicity of the brief was however accompanied by a desire to use the opportunities afforded by the angled and tapering geometry of the site to playfully challenge the existing house’s Victorian order.

A+D Studio

King’s Mews - 19 Apr 2012
A+D Studio was commissioned to redevelop this site on the corner of Northington Street and King’s Mews in the Bloomsbury Conservation Area of London. The original mews building at 7 Northington Street and 14 to 17 King’s Mews was a small two storey garage and flat which had fallen into disrepair and was allegedly once occupied by Diana Dors.

Kingsley Place House - 18 Apr 2012
New build family home built within a conservation area of an award winning 60’s development in North London. The project retains references to the 60’s development and responds to the flexibility required of modern family living.

Belsize Park Property - 2 Mar 2012
Andy Martin Architects are delighted to present their latest residential project, an ambitious redevelopment of an existing mechanics garage. Mews 02 is a single residence set in Belsize Park; the owners, a musician and his designer wife, wanted this existing mechanics garage to be converted to a 4 level family home, with the emphasis on the entertaining areas and with the ability to create private compartments over for sleeping.

Chiswick House - 17 Feb 2012
This recently completed house extension is situated in a leafy conservation area backing on to Chiswick House Gardens in London. Despite its sensitive location, the project moved quickly through planning with the result that a spectacular new living space has been created at the back of an ordinary 1920’s suburban villa, to the delight of the owners who have lived there for 30 years.
