In April 2013 e-architect have taken a Brazilian architecture group and a German architecture group around the city (architecture students). Further tours are booked through until October. We now have guides who can speak Spanish and Portuguese. Tours are typically a mix of walking and touring by coach and can be tailored to the client's needs.

"....I have nothing but good things to say about our guide. We were all very satisfied, and very impressed about his skills and knowledge. He was always on time, he was always in a great mood (even though we were 40 confused Norwegians who tended to get lost and talk a lot) and he seemed to know everything about every building we passed.

We can truly recommend both e-architect and the guide!

London Architecture - Introduction

London is the capital of the UK. There is a wealth of architecture here - from historic churches and palaces to modern art galleries and offices. Key architects from the past are Sir Christopher Wren and Nicholas Hawksmoor. More recently architects such as Foster, Rogers, Stirling, Hadid and Piano have created major buildings in London.

Significant contemporary buildings include The Shard, Lloyds Building, Swiss Re building. Key 20th Century buildings include Centre Point and New Zealand House. Older architecture of historical importance that we can visit on the walking tour include buildings such as the Houses of Parliament, the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace.

To take in these London buildings some walking tours require transport, typically on the Tube. Major clusters of buildings exist in Westminster, the City of London and the Isle of Dogs. Important architecture is also scattered throughout the West End and in Kensington & Chelsea.

London Architecture Walking Tour - Standard Routes

e-architect now offer a standard range of London architecture tour routes. If these don't suit we still offer tailored tour itineraries.

London Architecture Walking Tours

London Architectural Tours can focus on traditional buildings, contemporary buildings or both. The London Architecture Tour can be an introduction to the city's main buildings or can be tailored to your group's interests.

Walking Tours of London can involve advice (for an agreed fee) ahead of your tour about types and areas of buildings.

We are more than happy to accommodate your needs and interests on our London Architecture Tours.

We can provide information on programme, geographical areas and building types up to a year ahead of your tour. For example a group of architects interested in innovative London social housing or London office buildings could be provided with tailored information allowing a programme to be agreed prior to their visit to England.
