The dwelling is conceived as two partially sunken volumes - one in rough Welsh slate and the other in sharp white render, both set back from the road. The 3-storey 2-bedroom cottage features a double height living space with corner sliding doors, which open out, seamlessly connecting the hose with its garden. The dramatic walnut staircase, lit from above, is fundamental in the spatial arrangement of the plan and features a 3-storey glass sculpture as its centrepiece.
