The Viking Long House - so named for its shape and internal layout - is set within an old apple orchard in a rural location in Ireland. A second lozenge-shaped wall cuts through the house sheltering an entrance courtyard to the North terminating in a sculptural outdoor fireplace to the South. A long covered veranda inset against the southern wall of the main house opens up the ground floor living accommodation to the orchard setting.
