Hopewell Centre 183 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai / Central 1980 WMKY Ltd, Architects 216m high Refreshing for Hong Kong skyscrapers this tower is circular and its main mass is quite attractive due to well-designed rhythmic fenestration. Echoing James Bond movies it has a swimming pool at the top and a revolving restaurant! It held the title of tallest Hong Kong skyscraper from 1980 until 1989. It lost the title to the Bank of China tower by architect I M Pei.
