Guide
to Glasgow Buildings / Architects
Scottish Architecture
Glasgow was once called the Second City of the Empire and has always been
a strong trading city. Famous architects that have completed buildings
here include Rennie Mackintosh, Norman Foster, Richard Rogers and Zaha
Hadid. The city has a very strong grid and the Merchant City was once
the home of Glasgow's tobacco lords.
Enjoy your visit!
