The appointment from the Cartu Group - one of the biggest business holdings in Georgia - will begin with a study looking into the feasibility of retaining and refurbishing parts of the large Soviet-built 1960s hospital, against that of a complete new build of about 46,000 square metres. As a symbol of the country’s re emergence in the west, the Georgian Government is dedicated to having a hospital designed and equipped to the highest of European standards.
