Winning Project

This project forms part of the general development of the Charles de Gaulle
esplanade that was given to the Nicolas Michelin team in April 2003.
Between the Charles de Gaulle esplanade and Gambetta avenue, le project
is structured according to the concept of an immense criss-crossing hall
that offers two levels of theatres.
It is considered to be one of the constructed façades of this new
esplanade. Its architecture presents a play of large horizontal planes
and sloping lines on which sunlight plays by day and coloured lights by
night.
These horizontal lines link together like a large urban sequence, the
Liberty, the cinema complex and the Champs Libres,
each building having its own identity.
