LIN selected to develop the masterplan for 3Land

Location: Basel (Switzerland), Weil am Rhein (Germany) and Huningue (France)

LIN has been selected to develop the masterplan for the tri-national territory of 3Land – Basel (CH), Weil am Rhein (DE) and Huningue (FR).

Upon selection by the Trinationale Eurodistrict (TEB), LIN will lead a team consisting of Atelier Girot, IBV Hüsler AG, Une Fabrique de la Ville, Nuesch Development, Agence Franck Boutté, Michael Kleyer, Stephan Pflugmacher Lima and Joseph Hanimann in developing the master plan for the tri-national territory of 3Land – Basel (CH), Weil am Rhein (DE) and Huningue (FR).

During the next year the team will work on the masterplan to develop a vision for to integrate the development of the cities of Basel, Weil am Rhein and Hunningue around the Rhine over the next 20 years. The team’s aim is to generate one identity for the territory while preserving local specificities. In light of the upcoming IBA Basel, Internationale Bauaustellung 2020, a main focus will be the integration of economic and transport aspects in the planning process.
