The site once contained a Roman Villa. The building is now known as Wellend Villas – probably connected to the Roman well that was uncovered during construction.

Scheme for the private housing element at former Endeavour garage site did not gain planning consent, as a result was sold to the developer who had already built the affordable housing element. In the end the scheme reverted to 100% affordable and was built effectively as one development. drp architects were the architects for the whole development from inception.
