Business Bay Executive Towers, Dubai, UAE - Architects: Atkins Dubai tower image © from Atkins Atkins has been appointed as lead consultant for architecture, interior design, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering design and project management for this development which comprises five residential towers of varying heights retail facilities, a restaurant, a pool and a health spa. The Business Bay Executive Towers combines five contemporary towers whose heights vary from 27 storeys to 47 storeys and which will be located in what is anticipated to be the region’s business capital. Rising above a two-storey podium, the towers provide a total of 1,041 apartments ranging from studios to executive loft apartments and luxury penthouses. Apartments and duplexes are also set at plaza level within a landscaped area. At the heart of this is a swimming pool and health spa. Restaurants and shopping facilities are housed within a 6,186m2 area of commercial space provided by the continuous curvilinear double height podium arcade. Dubai tower image © from Atkins The eastern edges of the towers will face the new creek, which will be a series of interconnecting waterways that will eventually lead to the sea. The building facade will consist of unitised cladding, stainless steel cladding panels, aluminium panels and curtain walling that will incorporate tinted grey, blue and green double glazing units.
