Psychiatric Hospital
As the base of design we interviewed patients, personel and relatives related to the psychiatric hospital. No truth emerged, but a series of paradoxes became evident. The PSY needs to combine the efficiency of a central organisation with the freedom and autonomy of a decentralized complex. It needs to allow control and protection while maintaining a free and open atmosphere. In terms of function the PSY is a logistically optimized hospital and in terms of experience it is all but a hospital.
