Copenhagen Architecture Tours, Denmark

Dansk Arkitektur

Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark, the smallest country in Scandinavia. Famous architects that have worked here include Arne Jacobsen, Jorn Utzon and Henning Larsen. Recently architects such as Norman Foster, MVRDV, Zaha Hadid and Daniel Libeskind have designed buildings in the city. It is famous for the longest pedestrian street in Europe - the Strøget - and for good clean design: furniture, lights, architecture, etc. The city is located by the sea on the east coast of Sealand, opposite Sweden. Copenhagen used to be a walled city and the embankments are still visible in Christianshavn.

WALKING TOURS OF COPENHAGEN'S TRADITIONAL + CONTEMPORARY ARCHITECTURE

Walking Tours of Copenhagen can involve advice ahead of trips re accommodation,
dining and of course types and areas of buildings. We have one guide based in
Copenhagen who speaks Danish and English.

We can provide information on programme, geographical areas and building types
up to a year ahead of trips. For example a group of architects interested in
innovative social housing could be provided with tailored information allowing
a programme to be agreed prior to their visit.

Visitors can be met from the airport, their accommodation, or at the starting
point of their tour. The Walking Tour can simply be a guided tour of Copenhagen.

Please note that arranging restaurants, buses, etc. carries an additional fee.
