Judges comment: The activities of the Computer Faculty are clearly
demonstrated through the careful organisation of the building to create
a complex conceived with simplicity and underplayed grandeur...The brief
called for a building sensitive to its energy use and sustainability,
and it has achieved this.
The Computer Laboratory is the first building completed in the West Cambridge
Master Plan, west of Clerk Maxwell Road.
