9 Sep 2008 Architects: Andrade Morettin Arquitetos House B This house, located in a green residential district in the city of São Paulo, takes advantage of its privileged condition, turning its integration with the nature into its distinctive trace. All its spaces maintain a clear relation with the 1,500-square-meter park in which they are inserted. On the ground floor, the social spaces are located under the shade of the upper volume of the house, connected to the gardens through a terrace and the glass sliding doors - that can be totally moved to the side, creating a 14-meter-opening. The upper volume, conceived as a translucent box, shelters the rooms and other spaces that require greater privacy. The structure of the glass volume was conceived in such way that it seems to float above the garden, supported by the central pillar made of reinforced concrete, that also shelters the main staircase to the upper floor. The connection between the horizontal plans and this supporting pillar is strengthened by the creation of voids around the box of concrete, which are also used to bring natural light from the roof to the interior of the house. The upper volume is closed by a skin made of silkscreen-printed glass that works as a filter of sunlight. The print that composes the silkscreen works as a reverberation of the image of the park on the surface of the house, strengthening the interdependence between the architectural object and nature. Tokyo, Japan São Paulo House images / information from Andrade Morettin Arquitetos 090908 Casa B Esta casa, localizada num bairro-jardim da cidade de São Paulo, tira proveito de sua condição privilegiada e faz da integração com a natureza seu traço distintivo. Todos os seus espaços mantêm uma relação clara com o parque de mais de 1.500,00 m2 no qual estão inseridos. No térreo, os espaços de convívio estão localizados sob a sombra do volume superior da casa, conectados aos jardins através de uma grande varanda e das portas de correr de vidro - que podem ser recolhidas totalmente, criando uma abertura de 14m de largura. O volume superior, concebido como uma caixa translúcida, abriga os quartos e outros ambientes que requerem maior privacidade. A estrutura do volume de vidro foi concebida de tal maneira que ele parece flutuar sobre o jardim, sustentado pelo pilar central de concreto armado, que abriga também a escada de acesso ao pavimento superior. A articulação entre os planos horizontais e este pilar de sustentação é reforçada pela criação de vazios ao redor de toda a caixa de concreto, que são utilizados também para trazer luz natural da cobertura para o interior da casa. Todo o volume superior é fechado por uma pele de vidro serigrafado, que funciona como filtro de luz e quebra-sol. A estampa que compõe a serigrafia funciona como uma reverberação da imagem do parque na superfície da casa, reforçando a interdependência entre o objeto arquitetônico e a natureza.
