Casa Italia for the 2016 Olympics

Edra is pleased to announce its partnership with Casa Italia for the 2016 Olympics to be held this summer in Brazil, in Rio de Janeiro, between August 3 and August 21. 206 nations will participate in the Olympics, which will be followed by 4,3 billion viewers in 220 countries. Casa Italia will be the chosen venue for a desirable connection and integration between Italy and Brazil.

Edra is a “made in Italy” company, born and raised in Tuscany, a region rich in history, culture, art, and craft tradition. It produces high quality furniture blending tradition with innovation through continuous research on design, materials and the most advanced technologies, combined with manual wisdom and attention to details.

Its collection of sofas, armchairs, chairs, lamps and containers expresses the changes in human behavior over the years, but also a timeless elegance that is never influenced by trends.

Edra will be in Rio with a selection of products chosen in its collection to decorate Casa Italia, a beautiful space that is located on an island connected to the mainland only by a long bridge.

Protagonists of this collaboration will be: On The Rocks, Sfatto and Standard, the sofas of Francesco Binfarè; Favela and Brasilia by the Campana Brothers; the spiral sofa Tatlin; the sculpture-chairs by artist Jacopo Foggini, Ella and Gina; the lily-chair Getsuen; and finally the tables Aqua and Croma, which sum up the essential concept of elegance.

A careful choice that expresses the identity of Edra: a family business established in 1987, whose production is based on flexible typologies that transform the creative concept in industrial project without losing sight of the human, manual intervention that characterizes the process.
