The new sales and financial center and the existing "Blue Tower"
together form the portal to the site of voestalpine: two mutually
complementary structures as a symbolic representation of the complementary
units of voestalpine.
The new building and the existing tower are in a dialogue that clearly
defines the opposite of to the vertical element of the blue tower
to the horizontal shape of the new sales and financial center (VFZ).
The wide overhang of the head of VFZ symbolizes the industrial ambitious
claim of modern innovative and efficient company.
The forecourt
A gently sloping surface leading to the entrances. Large-sized concrete
elements - colored sand-blasted in situ concrete - form the surface.
LED floor lights are integrated into the surface.
The garden
Between the stock, the new visitor center and the VFZ spans a generous
open space, as its backdrop, the curved facade of the VFZ serves.
This covers the spectrum from the portal to the steel road up to
the steel world. Thus, even with such a representative component
is included in the ensemble.
At the same time the VFZ defines the northern border of the area
by voestalpine.
This spacious garden deck creates a differentiated-designed outdoor
area for employees and visitors of the company. A sequence of green
fields, and paved areas is structured by accesses to the park deck
The new sales and financial center
The gently sloping surface under the canopy leads into the spacious
lobby.
The building is divided in cross-section into 3 zones: the lateral
zones of the offices, the central zone, in which alternate funding
areas (conference, archive, coffee and chill out areas, copy areas)
with all the shells open atriums.
Each atrium is closed by a glass roof to the outside. Integrated
into the roof opening wing a good ventilation of the areas to allow
Vertical) (chimney effect.
The atriums are landscaped and provide space for outdoor transition
areas dar. This can achieve a high proportion of office imaging

The conference area on the roof
The conference area is in a very prominent position in the 4th
Floor housed. This is independent from the other disclosures vertical
jump accessible from the foyer with a lift.
The situation in the roof area provides an overview of the entire
area. An additional terrace following the meeting rooms, conference
extends the range in the form of a Bélvédère.
All other roof surfaces are extensively planted.
The construction
The building is designed as a steel structure: The metal structure
is visible everywhere.
Large plateaus and maximum flexibility. The steel construction allows
a maximum of flexibility and large plateau.
The facade
The manual open able facade components allow to users natural ventilation.
Integrated into the facade are elements made of expanded metal
to control. These sliding elements can be individually moved before

The facade allows a delicate and sensitive handling of natural light
