After completion of the project development Leiner furniture store and the food market MPREIS will start building their common project from autumn 2011 on the property with excellent transport links. images from Zechner & Zechner ZT GmbH The site acts as a gateway to the city of Innsbruck and is situated right by the motorway exit for Innsbruck East. A building with a striking external form was developed to take advantage of the exceptional location. The building‘s cube shape will be given interest by folding and ‘cutting’ the surfaces of a curtain facade. The outer skin breaks apart at the ground floor zone, allowing a view of the M-Preis store entrance and the furniture store. The external skin of the facade will be formed of pierced metal panels, with a pattern of ‘perforations’ based on the Leiner company three geese logo, and this, in abstract form, is also the basis for the curtain facade‘s shape. The facade changes appearance according to the angle it is viewed from and the way the light falls, giving the building an interesting and varied exterior. German text: Hochwertiges Einkaufserlebnis in Innsbruck Baubeginn für das Einrichtungshaus Leiner und den Lebensmittelmarkt MPreis Nach Abschluss der Projektentwicklung errichten das Einrichtungshaus Leiner und der Lebensmittelmarkt MPREIS ab November 2011 auf dem Grundstück am Grabenweg mit hervorragender Verkehrsanbindung ihr gemeinsames Objekt. Der Standort besitzt eine Torfunktion zur Stadt Innsbruck und liegt direkt an der Autobahnabfahrt Ost. Auf Grund der speziellen Lage wurde ein Gebäude mit markanter Außenform entwickelt. Die Kubatur des Gebäudes wird zur Differenzierung der Baumasse durch flächige Faltungen und „Schliffe“ strukturiert, die in Form einer vorgehängten Fassade umgesetzt werden. In den Erdgeschoßzonen löst sich die Aussenhülle auf und gibt den Blick auf die Geschäftsportale der MPreis- Filiale und des Einrichtungshauses frei. Die äußere Fassadenhaut wird aus gestanzten Metallpaneelen gebildet, als „Loch“muster dient das Leiner- Firmenlogo der 3 Gänse, das in abstrahierter Form das Grundmuster der vorgehängten Fassade bildet. Je nach Blickwinkel und Lichteinfall treten die Fassadenflächen unterschiedlich in Erscheinung und verleihen dem Baukörper ein abwechslungsreiches Äußeres. The four story structure is a beacon, in Leiner's corporate green, to people passing by. Along with the large areas of green, the angular form of the building itself makes a strong impression.
