New York City – The Whitney Water Purification Facility and Park (New Haven, CT) designed by Steven Holl Architects has been chosen as one of the Top Ten Green projects for 2007 by the American Institute of Architects’ Committee on the Environment (AIA/COTE). Throughout the year the facility will be viewed as an exemplar of the standards and goals for sustainable design and construction.

Tom Kundig Architect : Award
Olson Kundig is a Seattle-based design practice founded on the ideas that buildings can serve as a bridge between nature, culture and people, and that inspiring surroundings have a positive effect on people’s lives. The architectural firm is led by five owners.

Tom Kundig (born 1954) is the principal and owner of Olson Kundig Architects. His honors include some of the highest design awards, including a 2008 National Design Award in Architecture Design from the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt; a 2007 Academy Award in Architecture from The American Academy of Arts and Letters; finalist for the 2005 National Design Award for Architecture; a MacDowell Colony Fellowship; and Architectural League of New York Emerging Architect. This American architect has received eleven National American Institute of Architects awards.

Ewha Womans University : Dominique Perrault
Flying is the best way to reach the shores of Seoul Ewha University’s new building (founded in 1886, Ewha welcomes 22,000 female students and is ranked as one of the best universities in the world), designed by Dominique Perrault, as a result of an international architecture competition organised in 2003, and inaugurated on April 29th 2008.
At the very heart of the valley, a dreamlike immersion takes place. Opposed to the outdoor world, a subtle and serene universe appears suddenly. Classrooms and libraries, amphitheatres and auditoriums, shops and movement… Everything follows up with a constant natural light.

Singapore Tower

Office for Metropolitan Architecture
The 153 meter tall Singapore tower will be located at the intersection of Scotts Road and Cairnhill Road, in close proximity to Orchard Road, Singapore’s famous shopping and lifestyle street. With 20,000 m2 of built floor area, the building will provide 68 high-end apartment units with panoramic views.
