Terry Pawson Architects was founded in 2001, subsequent to the success of Pawson
Williams and has since established a reputation for beautifully crafted highly sculptural orderly modernist architecture which harmonises with its setting through the scale and modesty of its materials.

Completed projects include RIBA London Award 2007 and Chicago Athenaeum Award 2007 winner Vernon Street, Civic Trust Award 2003 and RIBA Award 2005 winner St Mary’s Garden Hall and RIBA Award 2002 winner The Tall House.

In the arts, the practice’s scheme for a new arts centre in Carlow, Ireland – VISUAL and the George Bernard Shaw Theatre – is currently on site and due for completion at the end of the year. Linz Musik Theatre in the Park, Terry Pawson’s competition winning scheme for a new 38,000 sqm music complex, providing a home to the work renowned Brückner Orchestra is scheduled to go on site in 2009.
