Taichung City Cultural Center Design – 21 Jun 2013
This architecture competition proposal uses a unitary transparent skin that allows stolen glimpses of the complexity that lies inside. Thus this object becomes a contemporary interpretation of an ancient traditional art and culture. Comprised of thin lines of recycled ceramic elements, the skin gently filters the light that reaches the interior and enhances the shapes of the volume. The skin of the design not only serves to enhance the aesthetic value of the building, but it also reduces the impact on the natural environment by taking advantage of passive technologies such as solar shading and natural day lighting.

The mixed-use project occupies an entire block of the city of Qingdao. We have studied thoroughly the environment and character of the city to propose a project that the city can feel its own project and that has a unique character.

The design involves five buildings and a central hall, set on the waterfront. The building has been government for social congress and conventions. It is the first building in the country on e-architect. The aim of the project is to attract visitors using new architecture.

Jinan High-tech science and technology culture center and square. The city of Jinan has a strategic location supported with a good transportation hub (Yaoqiang International Airport, Beijing-Shanghai and Jinan-Qindao high-speed train lines, several important highways and an important transport artery that passes through the city). By having this strategic location supported with good transportation hub, Jinan has lots of potential advantages and opportunities for development.

The topography of mountains in the Asian side of Istanbul ends in the mountains of Çamlica, the gravitational center of Istanbul. It is the center of population density of more than 15 million, and that revolves around this center.

The concept design of this Municipality building, Commercial Centre and Market Place has been carried out by the atelier RTA-Office, led by Santiago Parramón with offices in Barcelona and Shanghai, in collaboration with the Turkish atelier DOME Partners (Istanbul). A multidisciplinary team which has worked in the integrated design of the project.

The design of the Museum of Troy at Çanakkale has been carried out by the atelier RTA-Office, led by Santiago Parramón with offices in Barcelona and Shanghai, in collaboration with the Turkish atelier DOME Partners (Istanbul). Both RTA-Office and Dome Partners agreed to design the building in such a way that it would become an event generator, that a centre for cultural expression would become an international lure.
