Edinburgh, Scotland and Princeton, NJ, June 19, 2007 – In a milestone event for the architectural design industry, RMJM, one of the world’s largest architectural practices, and Hillier, one of the largest architectural design firms in the U.S., today announced plans to merge their firms, creating a combined entity with unprecedented depth of talent and global reach.

The merged firm creates a super-studio positioned to deliver holistic architectural solutions anywhere in the world, with offices in 16 cities across North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, approximately 1,000 design professionals and more than $15 billion in construction value of buildings currently under design.

In North America, the firm will be branded as RMJM Hillier and form the North American business of the RMJM Group, with offices in New York City, Philadelphia, Princeton, NJ, and Washington, DC.

The combined entity will offer services in architecture, interior design, master planning, urban design, historic preservation, arts consultancy, land planning, landscape design, graphics and computer visualization. Regardless of industry sector, location or client need, the firm can match the right minds to find the right design solution and provide clients with the most sophisticated resources in communication and technology.

RMJM and Hillier are multi-award-winning firms with a broad range of disciplines in the public and private sectors. Together their past or current clients include: Gazprom, China Merchant Bank, W Hotels, Beijing Olympic Convention Center, Cornell University, Princeton University, Oxford University, Cambridge University, University of Colorado, Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, and Sprint.

The merger will be completed on June 19, 2007.

EFCG, based in New York City, and Deloitte & Touche acted as financial advisers to RMJM. Dickson Minto of Edinburgh and Burns Levinson of Boston acted as legal counsel. West Investment Banking of Pompano Beach, FL and Mercadien Group of Princeton, NJ acted as financial advisers to Hillier Architecture. Reed Smith of Philadelphia, PA acted as legal counsel.
