Massimiliano Fuksas - App News

Fuksas : A Journey through Architecture

Massimiliano Fuksas' masterpieces in an outstandingly beautiful app for iPad by Carlotta Eco, in English and in Italian

This app caters to whoever wants to “feel” and have a close sight of Massimiliano Fuksas’ architectural work. It’s a useful tool for students, architects, engineers as well as for trade professionals and simply curious people.

“Fuksas: A Journey through Architecture” includes forty works by Massimiliano Fuksas, selected among the most representative ones and illustrated by means of a gallery of photos showing his work from the Seventies to date. Each project is accompanied by a card listing the main credit data such as a chronology of works, contractors, consultants, etc.

Among these buildings four architectural examples were selected for an in-depth examination: the Nardini Research Center and Auditorium in Bassano del Grappa, the Peres Peace House in Tel Aviv, the Zenith Music Hall in Strasbourg and the Admirant Entrance Building in Eindhoven. The Concept, Model and Project, Teamwork and Building Site were selected as description paths. These quick excursus let the user move inside the range of materials, technologies and in general of the themes recurring in Massimiliano Fuksas’ poetics.

The app opens with the general Map of contents, some sort of visual index summarizing the locations and the structure. On the top a horizontal strip corresponds to the Gallery of projects, where the photos of architectural works pass on the display, together with titles and data, like across the windows of a train. Here you may travel through Fuksas’ rich and diversifi ed works.
