Eric Parry Architects - Introduction text (+image)
from ING media Feb 2007:

Eric Parry Architects is an established and award-winning practice with
a growing portfolio of notable work. The practice has gathered together
talented individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and a wide range
of experience - as a result EPA operates easily within any frame of reference,
whether the Far East or continental Europe.
The practice approaches all work with intellectual rigour, and also seeks
to integrate the highest level of craftsmanship in all schemes it undertakes.
Current projects include Aldermanbury Square, a new highrise office scheme
in the City of London, a significant new wing for the Holburne Museum
of Art in Bath, and the restoration and renewal project for the historic
St Martin-in-the-Fields Church in Trafalgar Square.
Previous work includes the home of the London Stock Exchange at 10 Paternoster
Square in the City of London, Foundress Court residential complex at Pembroke
College, Cambridge University and a new library and music school for Bedford
School.
Eric Parry Architects undertakes an unusual range of work, varied in scope
and scale. The practice has won numerous awards, including an RIBA Award
and AIA Design Excellence Award in 2003 for the design of the offi ce
building at 30 Finsbury Square, London, which was also shortlisted for
the prestigious Stirling Prize in the same year. The Spa at the Mandarin
Oriental, Hyde Park was awarded Best Leisure Design at the FX International
Interior Design Awards in 2001 and Foundress Court at Pembroke College,
Cambridge University, won an RIBA Award in 1998.
Eric Parry founded the practice in 1983. It is based in Finsbury, London,
and employs 54 staff. The practice also has an office in Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia, where the practice has designed a number of residential schemes.
Eric Parry maintains a key involvement in all projects, particularly in
their design development stages. He is keenly interested in the bridges
between theory, practice, space and society.
