Key Projects Building News 2009 Chetwoods forges alliance with Norwegian education specialist 27 Aug 2009 Chetwoods has formed a partnership with Norwegian practice Kristin Jarmund Arkitekter to provide the best in innovative educational design and construction. The synergy between the two practices sees Chetwoods environmental prowess twinned with KJA's educational experience and innovation. The partnership has been formed in readiness for the next wave of BSF school commissions, including those in Derbyshire where Chetwoods is part of the Equitix consortium. Chetwoods BREEAM Supreme GPark Blue Planet, England: Chetwoods director, Mark Dorril, says: "We were looking for a partner and found Kristin Jarmund on the BDCSE best practice website." Dorril has visited KJA and several of its Norwegian school projects. "Their level of innovation in the Norwegian education sector is high and it is of a type that can be transferred well to the more conservative UK market." Kristin Jarmund's Råholt School, Norway: The partnership will see Chetwoods act as lead architect, employing KJA as a consultant during the design process. Chetwoods will provide architectural resources for the delivery of projects.
