Carnival Arts Centre Luton
The centre for carnival arts is a bold attempt to recreate the sense of an arts community that has developed in an ad-hoc way over a period of time. The site planning is simple and straightforward, being conceived as a group of buildings focused around a yard. It is the antithesis of the Arts Centre.

Cany Ash MA RIBA FRSA
Cany Ash is a founder partner of Ash Sakula Architects. Before setting up the practice in 1994 Cany Ash worked for Green Market in New York, Leon Wolhage in Berlin, DEGW and the GLC Architects Department in London.
Robert Sakula BA BArch RIBA
After studying architecture at the University of Liverpool, Robert Sakula worked for Sir Clough Williams-Ellis at Portmeirion, and with David Lea, a pioneer in sustainable architecture using innovative timber frame techniques. He then joined DEGW Architects, working on projects in Mexico, Monte Carlo and the UK before co-founding Ash Sakula Architects in 1994.
