Zaha Hadid is a well-known architect who consistently goes beyond the boundaries of architecture and urban design. Her outstanding work experiments with new spatial concepts that intensify existing urban landscapes in the most appealing visionary aesthetic that incorporates all fields of designs. She was the first woman to win the Pritzker Prize for Architecture in its 26 years history.

Zaha Hadid has established a radically new approach to architecture by designing and creating buildings like the Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art in Cincinnati. This building has multiple perspective points and fragmented geometry that displays many facets of modern life.

She won the Pritzker Prize in 2004 when she had just completed her first substantial project, the Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art in Cincinnati. Now, you would find her busy working on mega projects that range from unique master plans in Singapore and Istanbul to a museum in Roma, skyscraper in Dubai, or an opera house in China.

In 2007, Zaha Hadid created two very significant buildings in Germany, including a car factory for BMW and the Phaeno Science Centre. She was shortlisted for the 2006 RIBA Stirling Prize for these buildings. Both these buildings display her ability to translate the essence of her masterful spatial inventions in solid form.

She has also undertaken a number of high-profile interior work, such as the Mind Zone at the Millennium Dome in London and the Z.CAR hydrogen-powered, three-wheeled automobile. Another great example of her versatility is when she worked with the clothing brand Lacoste in 2009 to create a new, high fashion, advanced boot.

Zaha Hadid designed the Moon System Sofa for one of the leading Italian furniture manufacturers, B&B Italia, in 2007. She runs the famous architectural design firm, Zaha Hadid, which is over 250 people strong and headquartered in London. She is one of the most accomplished architects of the decade.

The definiteive exhibition of Zaha Hadid’s work was the Design Museum show held in the UK. It was one of the largest single exhibitions carried out by the Design Museum, which was spread over two floors of galleries and focused on the extraordinarily productive period in Hadid’s work.
