Skanska to Provide Construction Management Services for Franklin Woods Community Hospital

Karlsberger Architecture is providing the design for the 249,771-square-foot hospital, which will be part of the Mountain States Health Alliance (MSHA) system. The team has a goal of Silver LEED ® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.

The hospital will include 80 beds, a 22-bay emergency department, five operating rooms with 22 beds, radiology services including two CT scans and a MRI, physical and respiratory therapy, and additional support areas. The construction phase began in June with a June 2010 expected completion date.

Skanska is a leader in healthcare construction with more than $5 billion in health care projects currently under construction in the U.S. including a new 484,000-square-foot patient tower at Franklin Woods Community Hospital in Dayton, Ohio and a new 12-story hospital at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee.
