Skanska and Barton Malow to Provide Construction Management Services for William Beaumont Hospital Troy
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., October 6, 2008 – Skanska USA Building Inc. and joint venture partner Barton Malow announced that they have been named construction manager and design-builder for the William Beaumont Hospital project located in Troy, Michigan.

The design firm Harley Ellis Devereaux will provide the design services for the 558,000-square-foot, multi-phased project. The project broke ground in June 2007 with an expected October 2010 completion date. Skanska will include $56.1 million in its third-quarter order bookings for the project. This is in addition to approximately $40 million booked for the project in previous quarters. Skanska’s share of the project is 51 percent of the total program cost of $213 million.
The project includes a 223,000-square-foot emergency center and critical care tower. Also included in the project is a three-story ambulatory care center, a vertical expansion of the West Tower, loading dock and powerhouse expansion, a 5,400-square-foot MRI addition, and a connector bridge linking the existing main campus to the new ambulatory center on the hospital’s east campus.
