The organisation of the new building is based on five linear volumes of varying length and height arranged along the western face of the existing building.
The Common is a new public space for downtown Anchorage. The public realm was designed by Charles Anderson Landscape Architects and includes a new 24 foot tall sculpture by Antony Gormle:

House for a musher is situated on a 20 acre plot at the edge of a small town surrounded by small lakes and meadows. The site is on a hill, left behind by the forces of the glacial moraine landscape.

Snow Words Anchorage Architecture
‘Snow Words’ is an abstract time piece embodying a code, an installation designed by Cecil Balmond. The secret to the artwork is based on repeat motifs that in turn are spaced out in an aperiodic sequence. Cecil was selected as the winning artist to create an artwork for the Crime Detection Laboratory in Anchorage.
